- I vow not to touch my hair with a pair of scissors for one year
- I vow to stay within a 1,000- 1,200 calorie-a-day range
- I vow to not fall in love until I get everything fixed into place
- I vow to make straight A's this semester
- I vow to color my hair back-to-natural and then never dye it again
- I vow to keep my virginity
- I vow to never take that first drink
- I vow never to smoke that first cigarette
- I vow to put God first over my selfish ambitions.

Hi Sara, I found you when I was looking for bloggers with interests in the church of Christ. I'm glad to meet another sister in Christ. Your site is interesting. Keep up the good work. Visit me some time.In Christian love,Tammy
Hi, this is my first (of many) comments on your blog and I'd like to point out two things.
Although I do both smoke and drink myself, I do recognize the fact that they are vices and alter the state of my mind, which is actually something that I strongly dislike about them. I can't stand to think that I willingly pull the wool over my eyes in such a way, but at the same time it's just so delicious it's hard not to. In any case, I commend you for not doing either, you should be proud of yourself.
The second is that your "selfish ambitions" ought to be sought out for the benefit of society as a whole. I entirely recommend both Book I of Plato's Republic and the whole of Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations to explain why. Beautiful, the both of them.
